Consumer tips for stainless steel insulated cups:
Stainless steel insulated cup is a vacuum vessel used to store liquids (food) such as hot and cold water, beverages, etc. It has insulation function, and the cup body (bottle body, pot body) is made of stainless steel material and processed into shape. To help consumers scientifically choose and use stainless steel insulated cups, the following consumption tips are specially made.
1. Identify and implement standards
The standards for stainless steel insulated cups mainly include national food safety standards and product standards. Among them, the National Food Safety Standard for Metal Materials and Products in Contact with Food (GB 4806.9-2016) includes sensory requirements and migration limits for arsenic, cadmium, nickel, chromium, and lead. It is required to clearly indicate the material type and composition in the label identification, or to use Chinese standard grades or unified numerical codes, such as "stainless steel 06Cr19Ni10" or "stainless steel S30408" or "aluminum alloy 3004"; Stainless Steel Vacuum Cup (GB/T 29606-2013) and Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulation Container (GB/T 40355-2021) are both recommended national standards, which mainly specify the material requirements for stainless steel vacuum cups (bottles, pots), product capacity, insulation efficiency, impact resistance, sealing performance and other quality indicators.
2. Selection of stainless steel insulated cups
One must hear. The thermos should have no odor or a slight and easily dispersed odor; If the lid is opened and the odor is strong, it should be discarded decisively. Two things to look at. Check if the label indicates the product name, specifications, type and grade of stainless steel in direct contact with the product liner, shell, and liquid (food), material of plastic components, insulation efficiency, and the name of the producer and/or distributor; Check whether the outer surface of the product has uniform color, no cracks or gaps, whether the welding points are smooth and free of burrs, whether the printed text and patterns are clear and complete, and whether the electroplated parts have exposed bottoms, peeling, and rust; Check if the lid switch button is working properly, and if the rotation performance and sealing are guaranteed; Check if each component is easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble. Three needs to be touched. Check if the inner liner is smooth, if there are any burrs on the mouth of the cup, what is the texture, weight of the cup body, and if it is weighed by hand.
3. Use of stainless steel insulated cups
It is necessary to clean and disinfect stainless steel insulated cups before use. Generally, it is safer to use boiling water or neutral detergent for hot washing and disinfection. Preheat with boiling water before use for better insulation effect. When in use, falls and collisions can easily cause damage or deformation to the cup body, or the welded part is no longer firm, affecting the insulation effect and shortening the lifespan of the insulation cup.
Stainless steel insulated cups cannot hold everything. The inner liner should avoid contact with acidic or alkaline corrosive liquids, and the insulated cup should not be filled with dry ice, carbonated drinks, etc; It is not suitable to hold milk, soybean milk, fruit juice, tea, traditional Chinese medicine and other liquids for a long time. Children's straw insulated cups should not be filled with liquids above 50 ℃ to avoid high air pressure inside the cup and scalding caused by liquid spraying from the straw; Do not fill the cup with too much boiling water to avoid scalding caused by water overflow when tightening the lid.
Stainless steel insulated cups require regular cleaning and hygiene. When cleaning, it is advisable to use a soft cloth to avoid strong friction and not to boil and disinfect with water. After drinking, please tighten the lid to ensure hygiene and cleanliness. If not in use for a long time, it should be cleaned thoroughly and thoroughly dried. If food with strong color and odor is packaged, it should be cleaned as soon as possible to avoid staining of plastic and silicone components.
